The area of south-west edge of 'Trnovski gozd'. The Bavcer hut on Caven is situated below the Mali Modrasovec (1306 m). It is a popular mountaineering destination and offering a magnificent vista to the Vipava valley.
Access is possible by a macadame road or from Stomaž with a steep footpath, which is also popular for trail runners and hikers seeking a direct ascent to the ridge.
